System RAM reading

I just installed windows 7, but it says

Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (2.94 GB usable)

How's that possible, I installed 64-bit win7 pro and I should be able to use all 4gig.

Seems to suggest you try bios for memory remapping. Unless your video is using the extra ram which I kind of doubt.

you can check in resource monitor, under the memory tab, there you can see how much memory window see's and what it uses it for,

right click my computer/manage/performance/open resource monitor/memory

unfortunately i dont have memory remapping so im stuck with the situation, hope your better off.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
