Every time I create a folder, move a folder, or delete a folder I get a message saying "You'll need to provide adminstrator permission to move this folder" but then it allows me to complete the operation.

IMHO, it should either:
1. give you this message and not allow the operation to be done until you get some type of permission or access rights or,
2. it should allow you to do it without the $&%*@ messages.

Is there a way to turn these messages off? Honestly, I sometimes wonder if the folks at MS have ever used a computer before!!!!

They do under the impressions that most of Windows users out there are not technical savvy, and that they are obliged to protect Windows from us.

The popup you see result from User Account Control, first introduced in Windows Vista and later carried over to Windows 7. Click on the link below to change its behaviors.

If you don't know what UAC is or how to turn it off, I suggest you switch to Linux, you are obviously too advanced for dumb Windows.

There are (semi) protected folders in Windows and Linux. They do that to try to help protect your system against virus's and attacks.

As a standard user you should not be using those folders would be my guess.
