Specs: Windows 7

My .scr filetypes got associated with Notepad. How do I get those file types reassociated propertly with Windows 7 so that they work properly again? Thanks much for your help.

.scr is usually a screen saver but it can also be an infection. Have you run a full anti-virus/anti-malware scan?

I have run a full scan with Norton and nothing shows up. My '.scr' files are associated in Windows 7 with Notepad. So everytime I want to see a screensaver, what I see is a copy of Notepad with gibberish. I need to get the .scr file re-assoiciated properly. How do I do that? Thanks.

I went to that link and gave it a try. The '.scr' files are still associated with Notepad. :(
