Suspect the game was written years ago when Win95 or 98 was flavour of the month. It may not work at all in Win7. I know XP has a compatibility mode that sometimes lets older progs work. Not sure if Win7 has something similar. Goin' Fishin' (Some day)
Re #1 Right click the shortcut and see if there is a compatibility mode option.
