right 1/3 of yahoo screen blanks out part of left side

January 23, 2013 at 09:26:33
Specs: Windows 7

The Yahoo home page loads normally, and when I click on any item it does appear. Then the right 1/3 of the screen (which is initially blank) appears to over-write and blank out the edge of the left side - where I am trying to read the item I selected. Then the right side (a column such as "Trending Now") appears, however the right edge of my selected article remains blank. What's going on? How do I corrrect it?

When not using Yahoo or the internet, does the screen behave as expected?

I should have asked you before but is this something new?

Was Yahoo working OK previously?

Are you using IE? If so, what version?

Are you using the native resolution on your monitor?

Yes, this is something new.
Yahoo was working well previously.
IE is IE9 (version 9.0.12
Native resolution is 1600 X 900 (recommended) with Orientation = Landscape & is
running on a wide-screen HP Laptop.

Is the version of My Yahoo compatible with IE9?

You could look at any recent updates to IE9 that are in Control Panel> Programs and Features. A recent update to IE9 may be causing the issue.

I have IE8 and Yahoo. I couldn't replicate what you described.

The version of My Yahoo you have may not be compatible with the latest IE9 updates. I prefer FireFox and have no such problems. You can have multiple browsers.
