Please check if there is either a hard or a soft switch that enables wireless in your computer and if the switch is on.

Please check if your wireless modem/router is broadcasting its SSID over the area, otherwise you can detect it. If SSID is not broadcast, then please attempt to make a connection and enter the SSID manually and the passkey, if any.

If the switch is off and Fn and other Fx keys are of no help, then start the wireless software and try to turn the wireless switch from there.

By the way, my daughter's Toshiba P300 has a hard switch on the front facia.

I would say that most Laptops with built in wireless have a switch somewhere on the outer shell. Check the manual or google to see where it is located.
Has your laptop ever worked wirelessly for you?

I had the problem on one of my HP laptops that worked fine untill I switched my wireless router. Then it would NOT even see the SSIS from my router, whereas it would see others in my available wireless.

What I had to do was go into network places, disable the wireless adapter and then re-enable it, VOILA...I opened up available wireless networks and there was my SSID so I connected and it worked immediately.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
