playing usb audio through laptop speakers

so recently my audio died. i need my laptop for about another month so i cant send it in to get fixed for a while so i bought a 20 dollar external 5.1 channel audio card from newegg. it works great for playing audio through external speakers but i want to know if i can play audio from the usb sound card through by laptops built in speakers. is this possible?

I've never done it personally, but you should be able to get it working with a simple Y cable. Windows 7 News!
