No im sorry that dident help. When i open outlook the first message is "the connection to microsoft exchange is unavailable. outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." then it asked for the microsoft exchange server and mailbox. i do that then it says "cannot open your default email folders" then it closes.
Did it ever work for you? Have you set up Outlook or is this the first time you are using it?
Who is your email provider? Are you connecting to an Exchange server? If so hold CTRL and right-click the Outlook tray icon and select Test Email AutoConfiguration, and run the test using your credentials and post the results here. If you're just connecting to an IMAP/POP service check your Account settings to make sure you have the correct server settings configured.

My service provider is cox and when i try that ctl right click trick that option doesent appear. when i open outlook now it tells me it cannot open your default email folders. the information store could not be opened.
Go to the Control Panel and click double click on the Mail icon. A new window will pop up, click on the E-Mail accounts button then click on the New button and enter your ISP's email settings.
