Grandson downloaded a game. Will not boot to safe mode. Cannot run antivirus/malware. Command prompt does provide x drive (backup). Repair, Recover and Clean install want hardware drivers I do not have. This is old Dell but downloaded drivers from mfg. Still not finding drivers from CD. Any suggestions?

if he downloaded an infected torrent then you may have to physically remove the hard drive and slave it to another PC using a dock or usb transfer cables...then do virus checks on it. Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions 7 Golds
