Noise when pressing keys on new Win 7 laptop

March 10, 2010 at 01:19:17
Specs: Windows 7

Just purchased my laptop about two weeks ago. The second or third day I noticed that whenever I press "enter", the laptop makes a sound - almost like a rubber band snapping sound. Is this normal?

Serendipity777, Go to the link below.

How to Change the Event Sound Effects in Windows 7
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...

Hilite each sound then click the Test button till you find the sound you're hearing when you press the Enter key then use the drop down arrow button and choose None. On my Windows XP machine the sound that sounds like snapping a rubber band is listed under "Windows" and is titled "System Notification".

The sound I heard was listed as Windows Navigation Start or something like that. Thanks again!
