Just purchased my laptop about two weeks ago. The second or third day I noticed that whenever I press "enter", the laptop makes a sound - almost like a rubber band snapping sound. Is this normal? edited by moderator: Post moved from Windows XP Forum to Windows 7 Forum

On my Windows XP machine the sound that sounds like snapping a rubber band is listed under "Windows" and is titled "System Notification".
