My hard drive currently scores a 2.0 on my laptop. Is
there a new driver for an nForce Serial ATA controller?
Or something that will allow the laptop to score
higher?

Thanks!

Not much you can do about this: you've got a notebook. The average one is typically equipped with a slower HDD to conserve power & maximize battery life.

The thing is: it scored a 5.1 under Vista, since it is a 7200 RPM
SATA drive with 16MB cache... not a slow performer.

Try this:

Browse thru C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore & delete the DataStore folder. See if that refreshes your score.
