My shortcut links changed to exe

Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate

hello there... I am running windows 7 Ultimate and all my shortcut link changed to word.exe. Everytime i double click on the shorcut, it will open my MS Word. I scanned my computer and find 1 infiltration(i forgot what virus it is). I want to restore my shortcut to its original link, i dont know how to do it.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS
