November 2, 2010 at 15:40:59
Specs: Windows 7, 2.2 GHz / 3001 MB

Recently my computer keeps trying to install updates & has to keep reverting back it repeats this several times before going to the log on screen with updates still not installed. how do i fix this?
Is it normal for the short cuts to setup Ease of Access setting to be on the log on page? sometimes i have them other times i don't?

Back to basics. First do a basic clean out (browser history, cookies, internet files, etc). Then update your antivirus program and scan. Then install Malwarebytes (free version) and scan. Next using Task Manager (or Process Explorer) to close unnecessary programs. Finally, do a Manual Windows Update. but after it scans, choose custom and look at the proposed updates. Try installing one at a time only, the most important ones first, rescanning and repeating. Anything that does not pertain to you, say no to. If most works but you find the one you are having trouble with, post it back.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.
