| Back to basics. First do a basic clean out (browser history, cookies, internet files, etc). Then update your antivirus program and scan. Then install Malwarebytes (free version) and scan. Next using Task Manager (or Process Explorer) to close unnecessary programs. Finally, do a Manual Windows Update. but after it scans, choose custom and look at the proposed updates. Try installing one at a time only, the most important ones first, rescanning and repeating. Anything that does not pertain to you, say no to. If most works but you find the one you are having trouble with, post it back. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
