I am deaf in left ear, so I need mono output. I can find no such option nether in control panel nor Realtek HD options. Under channels list it shows only stereo. So, how do I get mono?
Hardware- Emachine 525E laptop with stereo speakers.
Might need a cable that basically connects the two sides to a single channel. Ask radioshack and look at how a stereo headphone connector is and a mono jack. The last two are the single and the base is common. Playing to the angels

In the Realtek HD Audio Manager window, go to the Speakers tab, you should have a "Headphone Virtualization" checkbox, go ahead & enable that option.
Under windows there might be a selection instead of headphones or speakers there is a "headset" choice of playback device. Playing to the angels
