I recently installed windows 7 and Im having issues. I didn't partition the HD tor formatted before I begun. Anyways under my computer it say I only have 48 gb of memory. Could this be true? I know for a fact the pc has 350 or secondary memory. What can I do to recover the lost memory? If anyone could help that would be awesome.

48 gb of RAM-now that's a lot of RAM ! You mean 48 GB of hard drive space, of course.
Are you saying that the HD is at least 350 GB ? Can you give more info about your computer ? There may be an issue with large hard drive support. You might want to look at http://www.48bitlba.com/issues.htm

thanks for your interst kx5m2g, and forgive me I'm not to knowledable on this kind of stuff. Anyways the ram is showing at 512 and the hard drive its shows 48 gb. I didn't partition the hard drive before I installed the new OS. Could there be a possibility that the memory is actually there and the OS is just not reading it correctly? IDK just a thought. If you could help me fix this issue I would be so greatfull thanks.

If you go to computer mangement under Administrative Tools(at least that's where it was under Vista), do you see a lot of free space on the hard drive besides the
48 GB ? If yes, then you can always create more partitions for documents, etc. using Windows or a third party partitioning program.

I suggest you get used to using the right terminologies to make your post easier to comprehend. You seem to be conflating RAM with HDD.

Terminologies? isn't that comprehend on networking?

Well anyway about your problem your hard drive or hard disk might have it's jumper tampered that is why it limits the size taht was detected by system.
