ok...might you have installed improper drivers...please post your GPU model

try this as well:

Start menu>Run>type "msconfig" without quotes>select tab "BOOT INI" Probably you´ll see the menu called "Boot Options", there you should uncheck "/BASEVIDEO".

restart then...

you can`t expect it to work with windows 7 ( the Vista driver )

Monitor Size Native Resolution
14-15 inch 1024x768
17-19 inch 1280x1024
20-23 inch 1600x1200
24 + inch 1900x1200
17-18 inch Widescreen 1280x800
19 inch Widescreen 1440x900
20-23 inch Widescreen 1680x1050
24-29 inch Widescreen 1920x1200
30 + inch Widescreen 2560x1600

...you can`t change this...what size is your monitor ?...

the only option to do this is to follow this site instuructions ( Chapter 4 )

I would guess a 10" its the netbook monitor resolution that I need to fix, and I have used some vista business drivers and that did work on other things.

Did you do something else to the machine beyond loading Windows 7 on it - like flashing the BIOS?

Since the native resolution for the 10.1-inch WSVGA Mini 2140 -- not to be confused with the Mini 2140 HD -- is 1024x576, I would expect you to have that option with the right chipset/driver installed.
