The hard drive is starting fail. Backup all your data to another hard drive as soon as possible, then replace the drive which is starting to fail. It could fail completely in a few days so don't delay in backing up your data from it.

All hard drives fail eventually, that's why you must always keep backups of your data before that happens.

When you've replaced the failing hard drive, use HP Recovery to put the factory installed Windows on to it.

i literally know nothing about computer tech, so i decided to just go browsing through all the cool stuff i began to realize what it can do. i somehow thought a file backup was a good idea, however, not knowing a thing about it. Somehow I manage to put it all onto my E drive (hp recovery tools). i immediately began getting this pop-up that hp tools recovery drive is full. don't know how to empty it. so then on another drive (not c) i downloaded recovery which shows that almost full. the last problem occurred when daughter was playing game and had info about hard disk 301. i backed up like said onto dvd . please i'm lost
