I have forgotten my password for my presario CQ61 and can't find the disk to reset it. What do I do?!!?!?!?!??
If YOU created the password in the first instance and you use it daily how can you forget the password... forgive me for asking but is the computer yours?
Strange how this always happens to laptops ..............
Is this a BIOS password (meaning you have to enter it before you can boot to windows) or is this a password for a windows user profile?
If you don't have a Recovery Disc made for your computer, you will have to call the manufacturer. They will ask certain questions for you to prove
your the owner of the computer. Like the date you bought it and where?
If their satisfied your the owner you can order the Recovery Disc.
That's the way HP does when I talked to them for a different problem.
They would have sold me the Disc but they said the one's I had already
made were the same.
I can't say why they spell the word Disk like Disc.
