Hi Alexandria,

Did you try running the system in Safe Mode?
Are you able to open internet websites?

Restart the system and tap F8 for Advance Boot Option. Select Safe Mode and hit enter.

Reset IE using the link mentioned below:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

Download malwarebytes using the link mentioned below:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_m...

Perform deep scan using Malwarebytes.

Remove virus and then restart the system.

Thanks & Regards

Thank you so much for the suggestions, unfortunately from Safe Mode or Safe Mode with networking, or Safe mode with command it won't work. When the command is put in the search box, it brings it up, but the catch is you have to run it and that is my problem, when you want to run anything, you get virus detected, file deleted, so Internet options is not available to me because I can't run it., for anyone without my problem there it is. Then I can't go to the option where Microsoft does it for me, can't download. I was able yesterday to do the Malwarebytes only because it was already downloaded and I had a 4 hour scan and 17 corrupted files were deleted, but not the one that is causing this grief. I appreciate the time you took to give me these options, but this is a doozy. Must be a mutant Trojan. I spoke to Dell on Monday morning and does MSI download sound familiar to anyone. If they wanted to get in by remote, there is only one option, DOS.There is no way anyone is getting in by Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking., no way to download . thank you again for your time, Alex

If you start a System Restore but click "Show More Restore Points" you may be able to see a restore point before all of this started and use that. You have corrupted system files and most likely some infection left over. If you succeed with a far back restore, reboot directly to Safe Mode and then update and rescan with Malwarebytes, then do the same with your antivirus program. If either picks anything up, repeat both again.

If you still cannot do a far back restore, you will probably need to back up your personal files, gather your installers, and do a Factory Restore (wipes the drive and reinstalls as it was shipped from the factory. Then do all Windows updates, Driver Updates, put a good antivirus program on it, reinstall your programs and utilities, and scan your back up before restoring them.

If you want a recommendation for an antivirus program (if you have lost confidence in yours), just ask.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Hi Alexandria,

As rightly suggested by "Fingers" if the system restore does not work, reset the computer to factory settings after backing up all important data.

Instructions for PC restore are mentioned on the link below:

http://dell.to/12PHD5J

NOTE: PC RESTORE removes all files and settings.

Thank you for the suggestions. If I could put in my own date to do a recovery that would fix it. I did one as I had a recovery date of 7/11/2013 and that eliminated one bug. The date I need is 6/11/2013 and I would be sailing. Thank you for your time and efforts to help.

Thank you for the effort and time you took to respond. if I could set my own recovery date I would be sailing. the problem is I am given certain dates and that is it. I was able to get rid of one bug as it allowed me to go back to 7/11. I need 6/11. Thanks again for the help.

Thank you, I tried this and I can only go back to the dates I am offered rather than a date I need. I really appreciate the time everyone took to answer my questions. I know now to come here for an answer instead of Microsoft.!!!
