Solved Task Scheduler Snap-in Error (Windows 7)

  • 4

When access the properties of a task in the task scheduler I get a box the pop up that says unhandled exception…. see here: http://s18.postimg.org/9lhakcprt/Un…

After press ok: I get snap-in unavailable as seen hear: http://s23.postimg.org/h9wcotarf/Sn…

What I tried so far: ran system restore, ran sfc /scannow and even did a repair install of the os. The issue remains. Last time I had this issue was when I was a newie to windows 7 and using ccleaner and had “II Log Files” checked At that time it cause the same error. At that time I just did a clean install of the os. After that I never have ccleaner clean that log I googled around an found that the Task Scheduler has issues with it. So I don’t know what is causing it this time. Hope you can help. Thanks

  1. Found the answer here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/…

Works for Windows 7 as well. All works as it should with task scheduler. Did the step at the bottom of the page that involved the registry. Exported the key and and created a restore point before editing. Hope this helps others.
