You have not given much in the way of details.
You have posted in Windows 7 forum but you show XP.
You do not say why you need to reboot. On the chance that you are unable to fully shut down so you cannot restart it, just hold down the power button for 10 seconds or so to force a shut down, and restart. Post back with correct/full info and we can give more meaningful answers. Post in correct forum.
You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
Acer offers a recovery partition (accessed by pressing Alt +F10 at Startup) this will delete all your C; drive and reinstall your OS to the day you bought it. i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
i've done thi once and it worked, now when i do it, it just goes to he black screen stating start on repair mode or normal mode which doe nothing. Windows 7 is not loading up on my laptop, please help!
Are you trying to restore to XP or install Windows 7? Your post is not clear.
if your restore is not working, its either because you have damaged the hidden partition, or you have a hardware fault.
check that the HDD is connected well, also check your memory is well seated, take out the battery and try the restore with just the power cable.
if this fails, blow out the air vents and vacuum the vents, to stop over heating, if your machine is under warranty send it back NOW!i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
