Specs: Windows 7, 4G

Just got a new PC with Win 7 64 bit. IE 8 seems to always open web pages at half size. I need to know how to always open at full size

You need to 'fool' it. Just open IE8 and instead of clicking maximize, just manually resize the windows to 99% of your screen space and you are done (you might have to do this a second time, but usually it uses the window size you last used when you reopen it).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Fingers - Just found out how to start IE 8 maximized. Go to the Internet Explorer icon; right click and select properties: where it says "RUN" hit the down arrow and select "maximized" and hit "apply" . It works

Thanks for posting back. I generally use Firefox but this might help someone else.
