✔ Best Answer

You can make a Windows 7 system repair disk yourself within windows onto a DVD-r disk and this repair disk will return your system to the exact point it is not. With a backup of your files, that will be all you really need 'Just in case'. Just type 'Create' in the search box or Look:

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

In my HP Windows 7 Their was a place to make the installation CD's that
your after. Dell should also have this as part of Windows 7.
Your allowed to make one copy. I made mine and I think it took 3 DVD but
you should have more on hand just in case you need more.
I bought a new hard drive and removed the hard drive that came with my
computer. After installing the new hard drive I used the 3 Install DVD that
I had made and Installed Windows 7 on my computer. NO problem.

I had a backup copy on an exterior hard drive and ran it bringing the
new hard drive up to date.
I bought the extra hard drive in case of hard drive failure and just to see if
the install would work.

you would be better served, setting up your system perfectly and then making a image with the win7 image creator in backup and repair..and a repair cd...saves you having to install your extra proggies again.. and many updates.

The install CD's can be very useful when installing a new hard drive. If a person
doesn't mind spending a little extra money, they can buy an exterior hard drive
and Acronis True Image Home. When a new hard drive is installed the backup
that I have made with Acronis can bring all of my Windows Updates back to
the date when the backup was made.
Using the Windows 7 - 3 CD's takes a bit of time.
Using the Acronis Backup takes me about 20 minutes.

you can download the boot disk here, and run at any time to repair/restore/or reimage from windows..
your dell has a hidden partition with your full OS, which you can run to reset your machine to the day you bought it.
