Specs: Windows 7
In earlier versions of Windows Explorer, I believe under Tools > Folder Options, there is a File Types tab, where we can change the association of a filetype. This tab does not seem to be present in Windows 7, which has only General, View, and Search tabs. Would someone let me know how to do the disassociation in Windows 7. please!?! Thanks a lot ...

Thanks, Tufenuf; I was unaware of that.

Olderschool, FTM is a free utility from NirSoft. It will give you much more control than the built-in utility, such as creating new actions to associate with the various file types.
