Solved How to change Windows 7 Spanish to English?

December 30, 2009 at 08:27:15
Specs: Windows 7

I got W7 installed, great but OS is in Spanish and i like to change it to english. I do have vista ultimate (CD with key) what happens if I install ultimate. Is it going to be a downgrade with vista ultimate on it or will I still be able to use the W7 features? I like the new W7 but don´t like to invest more money for expensive upgrades.. Thanks for any infos

What version of windows 7 did you install? I believe that Windows 7 Pro and up includes a multi language feature but that home versions do not, they are specific to a language. I remember this when I was deciding if I really needed windows 7 pro or if home prem was enough for my new build. You can double check me on Windows 7 home site.

So the Windows 7 you installed is not legal and you are asking for help to get it working?

If you have Vista Ultimate, you can install it together with language packs from Windowsupdate and use any language you want among about 30 languages.

But that will be a downgrade of course.

I have a feeling that Vista with 2 service packs is more solid than 7.

I have Win 7 x64 but I am having numerous problems with it. Win 7 needs a service pack fast.

Happy new year.

Thank you very much for a quick reply,

just as i thought. I also agree with the SP. I also have the W7 X64 but unfortunately Spanish is not my strongest language (Swiss). Thanks again..I will learn Spanish and try to enjoy the new W7 Features L.O.L.
