How can I run Lotus 1-2-3 under Windows 7 ?

Specs: Windows 7, Intel I5 / 4 Gb

There's a compatibility problem between Lotus 1-2-3 (version 9.6) and Windows 7 . The same, I think with version 9.8. Is there any solution ? Perhaps with Virtual Machine ??

If you have Windows 7 Professional, you can run Windows XP SP3 that you can download for free from MS in the VM, provided that your Lotus program runs in Windows XP SP3.

Windows 7 Pro has the ability to run WinXP without a Win XP licence.

Otherwise, you can install another VM and install Windows XP but you then need a licence, Product Key, and activation.

Or you can try Openoffice (free at openoffice.org) and see if you like that instead. If you like it, it will be simpler and it should have no problem opening your files.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
