I have installed windows 7 in drive F and I was having windows xp in drive c which i tried to format but drive was not encryptable .My friend deleted some files form drive c and now i want to format drive c. My pc now does not boot the windows xp cd i inserted in cd- rom.My cd is a bootable cd.plz help me...........

Be careful with drive letters. Microsoft doesn't seem to think we are smart enough so they call the first bootable active partition C:\ even it on another boot of MS product it may be a different partition. Second is what do you want to do?? Re-install XP? If so you don't need to format it until you get booted to the CD. Check the boot order in bios or use boot options at start to select cd.
