Best go with the one that comes with XP on that machine.

IE 6. - IE 7 or 8 would be a burden on your system.

I'm sorry, apparently you are running Windows 7. Win 7 comes with IE 7, not 6.

How is your Win 7 performance on that Pent. 3?

Wondering,

Rich Gu

opera is claimed to be the fastest. Your mileage may vary.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

my win 7 is using iexplorer 8, and as far as i am aware all win 7 versions except the 1st beta were upgraded to ie8.

it works just as well on xp/vista and 7, as far as i can tell anyway. why not stick with ie8 and help the beta team fix any errors etc, thats why we all beta test, isnt it?

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Wrong forum ... but I have a XP Pro Pentium 3 PC running IE8 just as fast, if not faster than it did with Windows ME and IE6.

It's not baseless. Chrome tracks your internet activity and reports it back to Google so they can track your surfing habits.

You can opt out of the feature, but it's on by default.

I don't use it so I don't know.

Besides, the only reason I mentioned it because the post before said my assertion was baseless.
