Try Saving the file somewhere rather than Running it (desktop will do). Locate the saved file and double click it - see if that helps. Are you having any similar issues with other programs? Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Link in #2 appears to be for Linux. EDIT: Forget this response. I'm in the UK and even when using Google.com (USA) I get UK stuff in the address line. Something weird going on but if the link looks OK from USA then I guess it must be right.
