In my former PC I had one hard drive that had Windows XP on it, and another hard drive with no OS, just music and videos, etc. I formatted this secondary hard drive recently and now I am trying to use it in a new computer I just finished building, however, even with the Windows 7 DVD in the drive, instead of booting properly I get a blank screen with "Error Loading OS". How do I install Windows 7 on this formatted hard drive?

Then your Win7 CD is bad.
EDIT: Or your PC is trying to boot off of something that isn't your HDD or DVD

Does the system boot with any other disk in the drive such as an XP or Vista one? If the system BIOS is set to boot from the CD and it does not read then I suspect the drive is bad. Do you have a different drive to try?
