enable the next generation java plug-in

November 30, 2010 at 15:12:25
Specs: Windows 7

I need the enable the next generation java plug-in check box unchecked. I am running windows 7 64 bit. Currently the box is grayed out. I have high lighted the box and spaced bared over it to uncheck it, but the system will not save the change.
Any ideas how to uncheck it ?

Did you go to java.com http://www.java.com/en/ and download the newest Java plug-in for Internet Explorer (If using Firefox also, for that one, go to Tools>add-ons and add it there)?

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.

Did you check your browser's 'manage plug-in's' to see if there is where you need to enable it?
