I installed windows 7 on a partition of my raid 1 configuration hard drive, but the boot manager only shows up when there is either the windows vista installation disc or the windows 7 intallation disc in the drive. I tried repairing using both installation discs but nothing seems to work. At the moment it automaticly boots in vista.
Please help, thanks.

Download EasyBCD, scroll down here http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 and get the instructions here http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/EB...
If you go to the Add/Remove Entries Tab, you should be able to select the systems you want/have, but read the instructions first.

I installed easybcd on vista, and i added windows 7 to the list, and when i restarted the two options came up. However when i tried to boot win 7 i got this error message:-
File:\windows\System\Winload.exe
Status:0xc0000428
Info:Windows Cannot verify the digital signature for this file
So i went into vista and removed windows 7 from the list, then used the install dvd to get into win 7 and install easybcd, both vista and win7 were already on the list and i checked the drive letters were corrrect, but i still got the same error message when trying to get back into win 7 after restart without the install disc.
Any ideas ?

Easy bcd now doesnt work in vista, every time i try and do somwthing its says Unhandled exeption has occured in your application.
Ill post the details it gave me in another post.

Heres the details
ee the end of this message for details on invoking

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID
RAID 1 (mirrored settings/disks) duplicates data across every disk in the array, providing full redundancy. Two (or more) disks each store exactly the same data, at the same time, and at all times. Data is not lost as long as one disk survives. Total capacity of the array equals the capacity of the smallest disk in the array. At any given instant, the contents of each disk in the array are identical to that of every other disk in the array.
End of quoteSo, I don't think it is possible to dual boot using a Raid 1 configuration as you need a separate and active partition to install the second operating system upon.
Bryan

Sorry i meant raid 0, dual booting works fine with the instialation disc in so is there any way i can use the config from that ?

if u run "msconfig", itll give u boot options like time to wait before seloecting operating system. the vista bootloader should then come up
