Drive B: Other error Norton Disk Optimization

October 25, 2011 at 19:26:02
Specs: Windows 7, Intel Dual Core 2060/2GB

The error message (Drive B: Other error) keeps popping up when I try to run Disk Optimization in my Norton 360 program that I have on my Acer Aspire laptop. Has never been a problem til recently?? Just can't seem to fix it & make it go away. Norton Disk Optimization hasn't run on my computer in nearly 2 months & I can tell this particular error has caused my CPU usage to increase heavily since it first came to my attention that something was wrong. What's the best way to fix this problem?? I have tried to access my wben.dll file folder to delete the repository folder as other post have recommended but to no avail. Any help much appreciated!!

If that dos'nt work for you, turn it off & use Windows defrag, Or, the one I use.

Uninstall that bloatware. Use Windows 7 built in utilities for maintenance and use Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus.
Norton tries to do everything, but does not do any of it that well. Windows 7 Disk Clean Up and Defrag work just fine and are fully integrated into the system for complete compatibility (Windows 95 did not defrag very well and other products were often needed to do a better job, but that was a long time ago).
Note that to completely remove Norton you will need the remover you can download from the Norton site.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
