Disappearing desktop icons

Hello all,
I was just wondering if anybody else is having trouble with desktop icons disappearing. Sometimes I will start up my compy and the icons will be gone. I know how to resolve the issue.
Right-click desktop->view->show desktop icons
I did a windows update a couple of hours ago and will have to see if that fixed the issue or not. Anyways just a heads-up in ase anybody else is having the same problem.

I am running windows 7 at the moment and have not experianced this problem.

Is it a problem that happens every bootup, or just from time to time

also

has it always done this since you installed windows 7 or since a certian point?

Don't have that problem either & not sure what might be triggering that anomaly. Have you always had the problem?

It hasn't bothered since an update. It would happen randomly. Not sure why.
