I will try this when I get in from work at 3 tonight. Thank you for the info. I thought I had done that already but what I read had no registry steps in it. I will let you know how it turns out.

Ok so I tried that. It didn't work for me. I did a registry clean up and fix on my computer. That seemed to work. I can now open Chrome with no issues, so far. Thank you so much for the advice. Now I have these registry files on my desktop that i'm not sure if I can delete lol.

Agai thank you for your help:). You setme on the right track!

"I did a registry clean up and fix"
What did you use?

Upload to a site of your choice & give us the link, a screenshot of your desktop, please.

I used Genuine Registry Doctor. I don't know how to do screen shots, and i'm not to sure what you want me to upload. I know some things about computers, but i'm not that technical, sorry :(

All I know is that I ran the program and then tried installing Chrome again, and it worked. I had a bunch of empty registry files/keys??. I cleaned them up and voila!. That's about all I can tell you. Again, sorry:(

"That's about all I can tell you"
This is what you have told me.
"Now I have these registry files on my desktop that i'm not sure if I can delete lol"
I wanted you to upload a SS of what you are seeing on your desktop, that way I should be able to advise.

"I don't know how to do screen shots"
Whenever you don't know how to do something, read your Windows Help files or Google.

Another way is to use a program that takes a SS & uploads. imgur.com is a very good upload site.
Save the SS in either JPG/JPEG or GIF

"I used Genuine Registry Doctor"

I downloaded it & ran it, did'nt leave any files on my desktop, other than the install file & a shortcut.
SS of my install below.

If you haven't already bought it, no need to.
I use these, both Free.

Run Wise Disk Cleaner ( Run the 1st three tabs, left to right. I use default settings, leave boxes that are unchecked, unchecked ) Reboot when finished.

Run Wise Registry Cleaner ( Only use Registry Cleaner & with default settings. Don't use System Tuneup, that is for Experts, you really have to know what you are doing ) Reboot when finished.
