Hi, I'm having win7 os, 64 bit OEM on my HP laptop but I've been noticed that I cannot install SQL2008 on it bcz it is 64 bit based. I need to know the easiest way to upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit.
besides, is there any possibility to face any problem with installing the drivers? Thanks

Please clarify. First you say you have 64bit then you ask about upgrading from 32bit to 64bit. Also check if the program is recommended for Windows 7. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
I know of no way to convert from 32 bit to 64 bit without doing a clean install. 32 bit drivers are not compatible with 64 bit drivers.
You cannot upgrade from a 32 bit to a 64 bit OS. You would have to backup all of your important data, do a clean install of the OS and applications, then restore your data. Your should contact HP to see what options are available to you and for information regarding drivers.
Thanks for the replies
I have downloaded drivers for HP (64bit) and I will create a partition first to install the win7 64bit on it to try the software before cleaning my HDD
