I have a problem with my account that I want it to change as an administrator account. I tried to change the account type into Administrator, nothing happened and didn't work. How can I fix this. I'll be glad to hear you feedback.
Only a user logged on with an administrator account can promote another account. A standard account cannot promote itself. This is by design. If this were possible it would create an enormous security problem and render the OS unsuitable for business use.
Is there a reason why you won't explain what you meant when you say I have a problem with my account? i_Xp/Vista/W7User

No, I meant that my standard account can't be changed into an Administrator account. That's all.
Well, it can be, as LMiller7 has stated, an account that already has full administrator privileges needs to make those changes. If you are a solo home user and want administrator privileges the first boot into the default administrator account and upgrade the privileges on your other account.
