can't change resolution back to normal

April 21, 2010 at 10:52:17
Specs: Windows 7
Normally I have my screen on 1440x900, but
now for some reason, I can't change it back, it
isn't even one of the options anymore, my
monitor doesn't support higher then 1440x900,
and lower just looks way to big, I all ready
tried run/dxdiag but there seems nothing
wrong with my drivers. I have had this problem
before, but at least then 1440x900 was at
least an option.

So if anyone knows how to fix this, I would like
to know, because other resolutions look stupid
and take to much space on the screen.

first pull the video cable from the monitor and computer, then reattach the cable.

you may require new updated drivers, reinstall the newest drivers from the card manufacturer

you may have had an update for the video drivers that failed to install or was not correctly installed or was just wrong, roll back the drivers,

If these optioins fail try a system restore to a time before the issue began,

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Hi,
Do not try to install the driver without uninstalling the previous driver..
So please remove the video driver and download the latest driver from the Graphics Card Manufacturers website and Install it.

Please reply after following above steps.

Well, problem is kind of solved, since a day after I posted this, the motherboard of my computer broke, so I had to let someone install a new one, and now I don't have the problem anymore :P.
So at least thanks for the people offering help.
