It sounds like the username/password combo is inaccurate. In that case, did you previously provide Yahoo with an alternate email address, submit a security question and answer, connect via your cell phone, or do a combination of any of these?

You replied to him saying you've tried the website he listed many times, but it didn't work out. Which specific items within the list article he provided, and which specific steps did you try?
When was the last time you had proper access to the account?
