I have a program (Ashlar vellum) that runs well on windows xp but I can't install it on windows 7.
Is there any way of making the 32 bit run on a64 bit?

Most 32-bit programs will run on 64-bit Windows 7. If your program runs on 32-bit Windows 7, then it runs on 64-bit Windows 7 as well. Therefore, the question is, will your program run on 32-bit Windows 7 ? But the drivers are different. 32-bit device drivers will not install on 64-bit Windows.
Hope this helps.

Try installing and running it under Windows XP compatibility and see if that helps. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
I would check with Ashlar to see if you can get the program compatable with Win 7 or update what you have to be compatable. If not or cost is the issue the as Fingers suggested Windows XP mode. Likely
