after doing updates i was told to restart to finish installing , i did this but since then i have lost all icons but have my background picture . the curser goes round and round and nothing happens . i can put in user name and thats it , plus it says locked just below username ... please help me
Boot your laptop from the Windows 7 System Repair CD (which you should have made when it was working okay) then from the menu choose either "Startup Repair" or "System Restore". If you didn't make a System Repair CD, ask a friend if they can make one for you on their Windows 7 computer, but their Windows 7 must be either 32-bit or 64-bit same as yours.
