I have a windows 7 pc. the realteck audio apparaat works correct. no sound out mij altec lansing speakers. do i need some drivers?

The speakers themselves do NOT need drivers. The sound adapter they are plugged into needs a driver. How do you know the Realtek driver is working properly if the speakers don't work? If different speakers work okay, it could mean the Altec ones are faulty.
Or you may have installed the wrong Realtek driver. The only place to get the correct driver is from your laptop or PC manufacturer's website for a factory-built PC, or from the motherboard manufacturer's website for a custom-built PC.
I don't know for sure of the realtek driver is working properly. When i start the pc there is also no sound from te system. I'm from the netherlants and it's hard for me to explane the problems in englisch.
Are there any errors showing in Device Manager under "Sound, video and game controllers"? Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
Post your full computer model, or if custom built, the motherboard model.
No there are no errors in device manager. High definition audio apparaat work's correctly.
Sorry, I'm still not 100% clear on this. When you are playing music or video is there sound from any speakers at all, or is it just the altec lansing speakers that don't work? The system sounds might be another issue.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
motherboard model:
asrock-succ
ddr2 1066
ddr3 1066
dual channel
there is no sound. not from the speakers and not from the system sounds
Sorry to push the same point but are you saying there is no sound at all from anywhere and that everything is totally quiet? Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
Yes that's correct
You need to program the outputs when using HD audio. Open the Realtek audio manager and select the method you are using for the cables.
Can you confirm that you have opened the mixer from the tray and ensured all the volume sliders are turned up and nothing is muted? Sorry if that's a silly question. Did this problem just suddenly happen or was it after you did something?
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
"asrock-succ" That's not the board model.
I think it is Asrock 870 succ
