Specs: Windows 7
I have OS Win7 and everytime I download the free Adobe Reader version 9.3, it takes over the icons on my desktop and says they are pdf and then I cant access the programs the icons are for. Then as soon as I uninstall it, my icons and programs are back to normal.

Miss Cat, Others have had the same problem. Install the free Adobe Reader version 9.3 program then go to the link below and download the "LNK File Association Fix". Instructions for running it are on the page.

Might also consider a restore point to time just before the update. See windows help and support pages for restore point.
