acer aspire 5810tg problems

Specs: Windows 7

"hey guys and girls i have an ac-er aspire 5810tg-734g50mn running win 7 which i brought a few years ago and did not come with any discs etc now i have a black screen with a flashing cursor have tried few things from the net and yeah didn't work ha ha if there Anyone out there who can help me please thank you

There may be a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive, from which you can perform a Factory Recovery when Windows is broken (unless it's caused by faulty hardware):

First you need to access the BIOS Setup utility by pressing <F2> at the Acer logo splash-screen.

In BIOS Setup, click the Main category.
Find D2D Recovery at the bottom of the screen.
Use <F5> and <F6> keys to set that feature to Enabled.

Save and Exit the BIOS Setup utility.

borrow anyones window 7 disc and use that to repair your operating system. I used windows 7 Ultimate disc to repair my Toshiba Windows 7 Basic on my netbook.

You may even find a free repair disc online which you can burn to a disc and use.
Years ago when repairing XP, you had to use the EXACT OS disc to repair it...
