Just wondering..
I bought a 100MB ZIP drive for my (obviously)100MB ZIP disks. In my BIOS setup it reports I can boot from one. Does this mean that I could install DOS and Windows 3.1 on one ZIP Disk and run it from the first boot device?
Thanks
Alex

Hope so, cuz I want to try it with a laptop with dead HDD controller, currently running Arachne browser and cut-down DOS on a RAM-drive launched from a single bootable floppy.

If it is an internal ide Zip drive, it should work. If it's the parallel port variety, it won't.

What N1 says is correct. You can install DOS/Win 3.11 on a Zip Disk and boot the computer using a dos bootdisk. I have detailed the process in this post:

Hope that helps,
