y2k problem?

I think this is a Y2K problem. Shortly after 1/1/00 I turned on my 486/DX50 laptop running Win 3.1 and DOS 6.22 I had to reset the date, and finally got DOS working, but no matter what date I put into BIOS or DOS--pre or post 2000--the same thing happens: I get the splash screen for Win 3.1 then the computer hangs. I have tried numerous y2k patches, but as far as I can tell DOS and DOS programs are working fine, so it must be in Windows. I reinstalled Windows, and got the same problem. I installed Microsoft's file manager patch, but this did not help either.
Terri, Its up to PaulF what he does with his computer, not you. If you have nothing better to say, go sharpen your tongue!
I think you have 2 differant Y2K Patchs running at same time! check your Autoexec.Bat & Config.Sys files for this. Windows 3.1 should run OK with or without File Manager Patch (Other than mixed up date in File Manager)
