Comment:

I have read the various threads on changing user details in early MS applications, including the use of a clean setup.ini during installation. However, for Word 2.0 and Excel 4.0, there are WWORD20.INI and EXCEL.INI files on the respective setup disk, rather than a SETUP.INI file. Each of these contains a [user] entry. Is there a way of setting these [user] details to their original state? Thanks in anticipation.

Yes. Copy these strings to the respective files WWORD20.INI and EXCEL.INI on the setup disks. Make extra copies of the setup disks for future use, too, because these strings will be overwritten the first time you do an installation.
