What is WINSOCK.DLL The reason I ask this is that i'm trying to install a program that reguires this and was wandering where to download it. thanks

Winsock is a windows library that deals with modem communications. It comes along with web browsers when you get the stack and dialer.You cant get a version of it here:

Dlls starting with W

However, it may not work with you application
since there are very many versions of this dll. If this is for a browser, i strongly suggest you download the corresponding stack and dialer.
