I received a weird message after the kids were playing on the computer one day. Something about the 'kkmuik.exe'. I search and found that it somehow relates to 'msvrlc32' in my win.ini. I don't know what either of these are but my computer is extremely slow. If I open more than one application, it will freeze. Help. I put in my disk to restore the system to factory but the process just locks up to. Even if I choose the 'format and restore'. What's up with that? (I am running windows 98)

Hi Dom Carusi: First you're on the wrong board, this is for Win 3.1 related questions. I don't know what's causing the problems on you 98 PC, but it could be a virus, had a neighbor with a PC that couldn't re-install 98 (would go so far then freeze up, problem was something with his ethernet card & possible virus). I had to format hard drive using Partition Commander DOS bootup floppy disk utility to clear drive for clean re-install, couldn't re-install after using MSDOS format, would still freeze up during install of 98.
