Comment:

i am really in trouble please help.
i formatted my 486/dx with 8mb ram everything works fine until i type in "win" at the dos prompt.
the windows starting image shows up and then my monitor goes out.
i guess it has something to to with my ram. how do i have to cahnge my config.sys?
win 3.11 used to run properly before i formatted.

boot to dos, go to directory c:\windows then type setup. check your video settings and select vga if not selected. reboot and see if you get to windows, if you do then your video card needs the correct driver to show more than 16 colors or just leave alone if
happy w/16 colors
